Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 2026
Sunny Locksmith wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, zoom, or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim for this site to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That standard covers how content is structured, how it behaves with a keyboard or a screen reader, and how readable it stays at different text sizes and contrast settings. Because the site is built as plain HTML pages with minimal JavaScript, most of the standard is met by keeping the markup clean and testing the templates when they change.
What we do
- Semantic HTML structure with one clear H1 per page and logical heading order
- Text alternatives on meaningful images
- Sufficient color contrast for body text
- Full keyboard navigability, with visible focus states
- Responsive layout that works with browser zoom up to 200%
- No content that flashes or auto-plays with sound
Using this site
You can enlarge any page with your browser's zoom (Cmd and + on a Mac, Ctrl and + on Windows) without losing content or functionality. All interactive elements — the menu, buttons, forms, and the FAQ accordions on service and neighborhood pages — work with the Tab key and show a visible focus outline so you can see where you are.
Compatibility
The site works with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and with screen readers such as VoiceOver (iOS and macOS) and NVDA (Windows). Older browsers should still render all content, even if some styling appears simplified.
Known limits
Some pages embed third-party content (Google Maps, YouTube videos) whose accessibility is controlled by those providers. If an embedded element blocks you, call us — we can give you the same information directly.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is reviewed whenever we change the site's templates or add a new page type. If a change introduces a barrier, we treat it as a bug and fix it in the next site update.
Feedback
If anything on this site is hard for you to use, we want to know and fix it. Call 917-495-1990 (24/7) or email sunnylocksmithny@gmail.com and tell us which page and what went wrong.
