One Borough, Three Kinds of Job

In Long Island City and the new waterfront towers, the work looks like Manhattan: fire-rated apartment doors on metal frames, mortise locksets, electronic access, and building management that wants paperwork. In the older apartment houses of Astoria, Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, it is rekeys, deadbolts and entry doors that have settled out of square. And in the single-family streets further east, it is the whole house — entry doors, side and garage doors, and the kind of deadbolt upgrades a detached home benefits from.

More Driving Means More Car Keys

Queens is one of the most car-dependent parts of the city, so car keys come up often. If you have lost a car key, broken one in the ignition, or locked the keys in the car, we cut and program transponder keys and fobs at the vehicle. No tow to the dealer, and most makes are handled on the spot. Given Queens block lengths and parking, give us the exact address and cross-street when you call.

Move-Ins and Rekeys

With so much rental turnover across Queens, the most common residential call is the move-in rekey — making sure the previous tenant’s keys no longer work. Rekeying reuses your existing hardware; we only recommend new locks when the existing ones are worn or you want a security upgrade. If you have just moved, it is one of the simplest security steps you can take.

Storefronts Along the Avenues

Queens’ commercial strips — Steinway, Roosevelt, Jamaica Avenue, Bell Boulevard — run on the same high-traffic hardware as anywhere in the city: aluminum-door Adams Rite locks, leversets, closers and panic bars that wear with constant use. We service and replace them, and we handle lock changes when a business or a lease turns over.
